Walking Guide

You can take Line 1 of the subway to Tiananmen East Station, Exit A, or take buses 1, 2, 52, 82, or 120 to Tiananmen East Station. From Tiananmen, head to the Meridian Gate to enter the Forbidden City. Follow the central axis of the Forbidden City, passing through the Hall of Supreme Harmony, the Hall of Central Harmony, the Hall of Preserving Harmony, the Palace of Heavenly Purity, the Palace of Earthly Tranquility, and the Palace of Peace and Longevity. After exiting the Palace of Peace and Longevity, go through the Gate of Earthly Tranquility to enter the Imperial Garden. Once in the Imperial Garden, walk northeast towards the garden wall. You’ll find the Jade Green Pavilion, a square pavilion with a攒尖顶 (pyramidal roof) surrounded by bamboo.
