The photographer stands beside a magnolia tree, taking a low-angle shot to use the foreground composition technique, with the blooming magnolias as the main subject in the foreground and the National Centre for the Performing Arts buildings blurred in the background. This approach highlights the flowers while adding layers and depth to the image. The photographer also uses a frame-within-a-frame composition, with branches naturally forming a frame around the central flowers. A medium telephoto lens is used to compress the space, blur the background, and capture the intricate details of the flowers, making the subject stand out even more.

Choose to shoot in the morning or evening to avoid backlighting during midday.

Walking Guide

After exiting from Gate C of Tiananmen West Station, you will directly enter the internal passage of the National Centre for the Performing Arts. Walk straight along the passage and pass through the security check area. After the security check, continue forward into the main hall. Cross the hall and find the exit leading outdoors, which is usually in the southwest direction. Once you exit, you will see the artificial lake surrounding the National Centre for the Performing Arts. Follow the lakeside path to the north, and you will arrive at the northern entrance and water pool of the National Centre for the Performing Arts.
