Walking Guide

The Grand Waterworks is located within the Western Buildings Scenic Area in the Yuanmingyuan (Old Summer Palace) in Beijing. After entering from the South Gate of Yuanmingyuan, follow the main road northward, passing the Sea of Happiness (Fuhai), and continue to the Western Buildings area. Follow the signs along the way to find it. Alternatively, take Subway Line 4 or Daxing Line to Yuanmingyuan Station, and exit from Exit B or C. Walk for about 15 minutes to reach the South Gate of Yuanmingyuan.
