No. 4 Jingshan Front Street, Dongcheng District, Beijing, The Palace Museum
Photography Tips
Stand inside the red door frame of the Forbidden City, use a straight-on angle, and frame the composition with the door frame as the foreground, capturing the ancient structures with red walls and golden roofs, the central screen wall, and the green trees and blue sky above. The background should include the complete ancient building roof, screen wall pattern, and the stone pedestals on both sides to enhance the depth of the scene. Travel Tip: It is recommended to book your tickets a week in advance.
Walking Guide
Walk west past the Palace Museum's Yanx堂 (on your left) and then turn right. Note: "燕喜堂" is usually translated as "Yanxi Hall," but since it's a specific name, I kept it as "Yanx堂" to maintain accuracy. If you prefer, it can be spelled as "Yanxi Hall."
Walk southwest along Donghua Gate Road, past the ticket office of the Beijing Labouring People's Cultural Palace (on your left), then turn right.
Walk south along Beichizi Street until you reach Beijing Daoxiangcun (on your left), then turn right.
