Starting from the center of Golmud, drive along the G3011 Liugan Expressway for about 60 kilometers, which takes approximately 1 hour. Set your navigation to "Qarhan Salt Lake Visitor Center." After arriving at the visitor center, you will need to take a shuttle bus to enter the scenic area (about a 30-minute ride). Once you get off the bus, head to the sightseeing bus stop. It is recommended to purchase a one-way sightseeing bus ticket (15 RMB) to take you directly to the last stop. Start your walking tour from the last stop, and pay attention to the beautiful salt lake scenery and various photo spots along the way. During your walk, keep an eye out for wooden frame photo spots that showcase the vast and emerald green views of the salt lake, as these are ideal photo locations.
